About

me and my yoga approach

Namaste, yogis and yoginis.

Thanks for dropping by and welcome to my yoga and travel space. Now that you have found your way here, I would like to introduce myself.

I am Maria, an enthusiastic yogini with a passion for writing, traveling, psychology and yoga. After completing the four-year yoga teacher training of over 800 hours, I share my profound yoga knowledge and experience with you in my workshops, retreats and classes.

Whether you are interested in āsana, prāṇāyāma or yoga philosophy, or just want to travel with me around the world - you surely find it something here.

My recent story is that for many years I was searching for my calling and my corner in this world. I wanted to make sense of everything. But by trying and longing for ‘enlightenment’ and meaning in this world, I felt more unhappy and more lost than ever before. And there one day, something just came to me unexpectedly. It was a simple thought and yet it was a true revealing - I felt it with every cell of my body - that there is not ONE corner for me. Afterall, the world is round and there are no corners :) . And it keeps spinning and changing and, thus, we spin with it. But it is only empty words unless you feel it. In many aspects yoga and Buddhism share the same ideas: Buddhist philosophy says that nothing lasts, everything is in constant state of change. Therefore, everything that is in constant change is not attached to the self and we can free ourselves from the idea of attachment to the past and the future and free ourselves from attachment to ideas of who we ought to be.

So whatever reasons you have to start your yoga experience, whether you search for self-love and acceptance, or your inner child; because you are exhausted, stressed, depressed or feel a deep emptiness. I can understand that all. Because I have been through it. And I am sure I can share my knowledge to help you find one more piece in yourself to complete your picture and find your happiness. I found my way of walking through life and this is with yoga and travelling. Ordinary people I meet are my best teachers. So welcome to join me on my adventures.

I don't take myself too seriously. My approach is authentic with a lot of laughter and fun during the yoga classes, vacation weeks and group trips. No guarantee, but maybe you reach samādhi, or enlightenment, in your own sense :) .
